Stellantis talks about its collaboration with UMI

How did you hear about UMI, and why did you call on us?

I’ve heard about UMI from my manager – he had collaborated with UMI on a different project before and was happy about it.
Our main purpose was to get in contact with some business players in the Last Mile Delivery market. We were trying to get a broad spectrum of some of the pain points from different industries and different levels of companies – whether it’s high director level or delivery drivers.

We tested the market for one of your innovations – can you tell us a bit more about the project and its objectives?

We aim to find innovative ways to produce more value for our commercial vehicle business unit customers in the Last Mile Delivery Industry. We’re trying to understand the pain points to be able to potentially develop new revenue streams with them in industry.

Your Market Test was about detecting some market needs. What did it enable to your project, what were the benefits?

We were interested in understanding some of the pain points from different levels. With UMI, we were able to get that: information from director level, from ownership level of a company, from small to larger logistic companies, from lower level management as well as delivery drivers themselves.
The survey also enabled us to conduct some individual interviews, which produced even more value for understanding their thoughts of the delivery industry that they work in.

What did you prefer in your UMI experience?

I really liked the whole process to be honest!
The UMI support on how structuring questions to get the information that I want and to make sure that they’ll be answered and not too overwhelming for the respondents.
In addition, I liked the platform, I found it very intuitive and well structured to download and synthesize the data.
All of those are really good approaches for us!
